    DAY 1:

  • Pickup in Cairo 8:00AM at hotel
  • Travel 360 kms Baharya Oasis, arrive for lunch at Al Haiz Oasis, settle into rooms, spend the afternoon discovering and relaxing.
  • Meet in Bedouin tent for Christmas dinner – Turkey Mandi, traditional sides, sweets. Enjoy a fireside Bedouin party
    DAY 2: 
  • – Traditional breakfast is served at 9AM
  • – After breakfast we will transfer to 4×4 Land-cruisers for an off road tour of Crystal Mountain, Aguabat Valley, Fresh desert spring (Ain Khadra)
  • Enter old White Desert, stop for pictures in a few choice places. Arrive to the camp.
  • Set-up camp, enjoy nature surroundings at sunset.
  • Settle in for a BBQ Bedouin meal, fireside evening, music, stargazing and storytelling.
    DAY 3:
  •  7AM sunrise in the incredible White Desert, enjoy hot coffee, a full Bedouin breakfast with fresh bread & fresh fruit
  • After breakfast we will pack up camp and start a tour of Old White Desert, visit ancient Acacia Tree 
  • -Move to Al Haiz Oasis Lodge for lunch, tea, warm dates & olive oil. After lunch, car will pickup at for transfer back to Cairo
  • – Leave for Baharya Oasis 3PM, shop dates & oil market before leaving back to Cairo, arriving at destination around 8PM

CAIRO TO LUXOR – Oasis Safari Tour

Complete the desert routes for the ancient Pharaohs, Romans, Greeks, and traveling Bedouins from Cairo through the Western Desert through 4 of Egypts Oases, finishing on the mighty Nile in Luxor.


Day 1 over 5 nights and 6 days, our tour will take us from the bustling Cairo, through the plains of the Sahara, 380 kms southwest to Baharya Oasis, a continue for a short 25 minutes through the magestic Black Desert, we will reach our 1st nights destination; our private land and Ecolodge, Al Haiz Oasis. after a welcome drink, a quick tour of the camp and the buildings, get settled into rooms, then gather for a Bedouin BBQ dinner, tea and starry nights observation of the desert sky.

Day 2/3 after breakfast, we will leave for Crystal Mountain, Aguabat Valley, Ancient Roman Springs, The White Desert of Farafara Oasis, spending 2 nights in this incredible, diverse landscape.
Day 4 we pack camp and leave to meet the car for the trip to Dakhla Oasis and the beautiful Sosal House, settle into rooms, dinner.
Day 5 we will visit the ancient Islamic Village Al Qasr, Pharaonic Temple of Al Hagar, take a picnic lunch outside, returning to Sosal house for 2nd night.
Day 6 we leave for Kharga Oasis: the largest of all Egypt’s Western Oases, stopping for lunch and to visit the ancient Roman fort, Qasr el Baramoudy and the Temple of Hibis. The drive continues west, arriving in Luxor by dinner time.

Eid Mubarak Weekend: 3 Nights

ONE NIGHT IN ECOLODGE PRIVATE ROOM, 2 NIGHTS IN DESERT

Join us for 3 nights, 4 days out of Cairo for our Eid Mubarak celebration program in the Western Desert of Egypt.

Day 1: Pick-up in Cairo 7:30AM, Cilantro Cafe, Moustafa Mahmoud Square. 4.5 hour drive just past Baharya Oasis to our land in Al Haiz. Here we will settle into rooms, have lunch and spend the afternoon with a local tour of the village Tabel Amon, visiting fresh springs and sand dunes of neighboring Rees Village. After sunset we will have a full Bedouin Party with BBQ, music, sweets, dancing and campfire, celebrating owner Abdu’s Birthday and Eid Mubarak

Day 2: 2PM we leave for our adventure off road starting in Crystal mountain. From here we make the decent into the Aguabat Valley, making stops for pictures along the way. By sunset we will arrive at our campsite in the south end of Aguabat area.
Set-up camp and have a BBQ dinner, campfire and hot tea under the starry night.

Day 3: 7AM wake-up to hot coffee, start to pack up camp while the crew prepare a hot breakfast including fresh made Bedouin bread & fresh fruits.
10AM we start our journey through the gorgeous Caraween Dunes stoping for sand boarding.
Our journey continues west through Caraween dunes, arriving at Magic Spring for a fresh water splash, discovering many broken pottery pieces left from ancient Roman times. We will stop for lunch in the shadow of very old date palms in Big Valley, and onto The White Desert Nature Reserve for camp set-up before sunset. The night continues with a Bedouin BBQ, traditional music, stargazing and campfires into the night.

Day 4: 7AM sunrise in The White Desert, with the long shadows and picturesque landscapes, we will pack up camp, have a hot breakfast. One last pass through The White Desert, we will spend the next few hours discovering the large wind-swept rock formations, stoping to walk and take pictures.
As we leave the White Desert, we will be on the asphalt for a short while until we reach Al Haiz Lodge for lunch, showers or enjoy the fresh spring pool, the animals on the farm, or relax in the sunshine until the mini-bus picks up by 3PM. Arriving in Cairo by 8PM April 25th.

Weekend in Western Desert

Weekend in Western Desert: 2023 Season – Djara Cave, White Desert, Caraween Dunes, Crystal Mountain, Aguabat Valley, Ain Khadra & Ain Seuf (Magic Spring)

Join us for 3 nights, 4 days out of Cairo for our program in the Western Desert of Egypt.

Day 1: Pick-up in Cairo 7:30AM, 4.5 hour drive just past Baharya Oasis to our land in Al Haiz. Here we will take lunch and finish loading the cars. 2Pm we leave for our adventure off road starting in Crystal mountain. Fro here we make 3 decent into the Aguabat Valley, making stops for pictures along the way. By sunset we will arrive at our campsite in the south end of Aguabat area.
Set-up camp and have a BBQ dinner, campfire and hot tea under the starry night.

Day 2: 7AM wake-up to hot coffee, start to pack up camp while the crew prepare a hot breakfast including fresh made Bedouin bread & fresh fruits.
10AM we start our journey through the gorgeous Caraween Dunes south to Djara Cave, the largest of its kind in Egypt. After a short time on the asphalt, a quick rest stop to re-fuel, grab snacks or use the restroom, we will arrive at the cave by lunch time.
As you tour the cave, our crew will prepare a hot lunch outside the cave, where we will eat, have hot tea/coffee before we continue on by 2PM.
After a short time on the asphalt, we will head off-road again, passing through a very unique area of ‘watermelon stones’. Our journey continues north west through Caraween dunes, for an afternoon of riding the dunes, sand boarding, until we find the perfect spot to set-up camp for the night.

Day 3: 7AM sunrise in the dunes, with the long shadows and picturesque landscapes, we will pack up camp, have a hot breakfast. Continuing to head northwest through the dunes, we will arrive at the southend of the White desert by 11AM. We will spend the next few hours discovering the large wind-swept rock formations, stoping to walk and take pictures.
As we leave the White Desert, we will be on the asphalt for a short while until we arrive in Aguabat Valley, we will find a nice lunch spot in this area.
After lunch we will pack up and head back to Al Haiz Oasis Ecolodge. We will unpack while everyone settles into their rooms for a swim, shower and a restful sunset until dinner is served at 9PM.

Day 4: Good morning! Last breakfast with us at 9AM, enjoy the fresh spring pool, the animals on the farm, or relax in the sunshine until the mini-bus picks up by 2PM. Arriving in Cairo by 7PM.

Chasing the Full Moon 1 Night 2 Days

DAY 1: 7:00AM Meet in Cairo and ride to Al Haiz Oasis
12:00PM
Arrive at Al-Haiz Eco-lodge. Refreshments of coffee and tea are being served by the pool as lunch is being prepared and served.
2:00PM
Load the 4x4s to head out to the desert for an overnight camp.
6:00PM
Arrive at camp in the White Desert; Campsite is set and dinner is served by the campfire. 10:00PM
(OPTIONAL) 1hour hike amid the White Icebergs of the White Desert. The White Desert landscape and structures is so unique and one of its kind in the world; it I also spectacular during a full-moon because the white chalk formations reflect the moonlight like no other type of rock; transforming the entire landscape into a unique and phenomenal experience.

DAY 2: 7:00AM Wakeup call. Refreshments of coffee and tea are being served as breakfast is being prepared.
11:00AM
Load the 4x4s and head to ‘Ain Sareo’ or the ‘Magic Spring’ where we will hide under the shades of its palm trees and enjoy the cool waters.
Then head to Agabat Valley from the desert; the airport area (an amazingly flat stretch of sand surrounded by huge and high plateau-like cliffs, and finally end our desert tour Crystal Mountain.
Lunch is served mid-day and several pit-stops with refreshments, tea and fruits.

Head back to Al Haiz Ecolodge for cleanup and ride back to Cairo

Detailed program:
Day 1: 
7AM – Pick-up from meeting point in Cairo, and drive to Baharya Oasis.
11AM – Meet our crew and 4×4’s at the point pf departure to the desert.
12:30PM – Stop for an amazing group lunch courtesy of our Bedouin chef
2:30PM – Resume our course into the desert to watch amazing landscapes and stop at a number of sites.
5:30PM – Stop for our night camp in the desert; coffee and refreshments are served by the campfire. Delicious dinner is freshly cooked in camp as we watch the stars and listen to some Bedouin songs if our crew is inspired.

Day 2: 
7AM – Wake-up call and enjoy coffee, tea and juices by the fire. Freshly baked bread is prepared.
9AM – Wander for an hour hike in the desert as our crew loads the vehicles and follow us to resume our desert excursion.
12PM – Stop for lunch by an amazing spot to capture the landscape of our Western Desert of Egypt.
2PM – Ensure our course to the highlight destination for the trip; a spectacular area of high hills, that shimmer up over the desert plain. This is an area of immense beauty and variety.
5PM – Camp amid the dunes of the spectacular bAy Maharrik belt with an amazing dinner served.

Day 3: 
6AM – A rather early wake-up call for hot drinks and refreshments
7AM – Breakfast is served
8AM – Leave our camp for a 1 hour walk of the desert until the crew loads the vehicles and pick us up. Our course is towards the oasis of Al-Harra, the northernmost oasis of Baharya
12:30PM – Stop for lunch in an amazing and spectacular picturesque area of “el-Garenat”
This area is hardly reached by visitors and one of the hidden gems of the Western Desert of Egypt.
4PM – Exit the desert at al-Harra oasis and arrive at the meeting point with the buses to take you back to Cairo

  • Pickup in Cairo 7:30AM at Cilantro Cafe -Mustafa Mahmoud Square
  • Travel 360 kms Southwest to arrive in Baharya Oasis, take hot lunch at Oasis Restaurant 
  • Transfer to 4×4 Landcruisers and start our Safari through the Black Desert, Aguabat Area, arriving at the White Desert.

Tour this ancient Oasis, discover traditional Bedouin way of life and natural healing. Campfire and stars, caves and dunes, 4×4 adventure in the Sahara.

Djara Cave & White Desert 

Day 1: 7:30AM pickup from Cairo, leaving at 8AM. Take transportation 360kms south Baharya Oasis. Take a rest stop and lunch in Oasis Restaurant. Move to 4×4 Landcruisers, visit local hot springs (over 400 here!) head south for a tour of Black Desert, Crystal Mountain, and Aquabat area. We will arrive at our camp in White Desert at sunset. Set up camp. 

Settle into tents then enjoy a traditional Bedouin dinner and party with flute and sensemia, dancing and a campfire under the stars.  We will learn about the Bedouin way of life, and traveling in the desert, sharing valuable knowledge. We will have our dinner around the fire and enjoy the camp and surroundings.

Day 2: 6AM sunrise, early birds will enjoy this serene landscape at dawn! 7AM Breakfast & hot coffee. After packing up camp, we will cross the desert to New White desert, and onto Caraween Dunes, stop for sandboarding, on the way to Djara cave. After spending the afternoon discovering the Cave, we will head south to Al Haiz Oasis Lodge. Settle into tents (rooms available for an additional 400le) then enjoy a traditional BBQ dinner, campfire, and astronomy under the incredible night sky. 

Day 3: 6AM sunrise and hot coffee, breakfast at 8:30AM. Take a swim in our fresh spring pool, and take a tour of the animals on the farm, spending there morning here. Then head toward Baharya around 1PM. Arriving in the Oasis, we will have a rest stop and optionally have lunch in Oasis Restaurant Baharya (on Facebook for menu and details), and browse the Date & Oil Market. The bus will pick you up here at 3PM, arriving in Cairo by 8:00PM.
