Created from family farm land in 2011, Abdu Shaban’s “Dreamland” is located 25 minutes south of Baharya Oasis, just 4 hours south of Cairo in the center of the Majestic Black Desert. It consists of 4 double and triple rooms with private bathroom & shower. Also on the property, we have a large, private 2 bedroom house- fully equipped kitchen, bathroom with shower, & wrap around terrace for outdoor dining, lounging or star gazing.
We can accommodate groups up to 20 people in lodgings.
The property also includes a Bedouin tent for large group gatherings, meals, tea/coffee, around the fire, Bedouin parties with traditional music or just to keep cool on a hot day.
A handmade Bazaar “Jannah’s Jewels” offers Bedouin crafts, jewelery, embroidery bags, pottery, baskets, camel wool socks, desert scarves and different types of honey from a local farm.

The land has many animals residing together; donkey named Cece, sheep, goats, baby lamb and cows, chickens, ducks, rabbits, pigeons, and a farm dog named Lucky.
We grow many fruits like Egyptian limes, guava, Meyer lemon, grapes, bananas, mango, apricots and of course the pinnacle of fruits, the OASIS DATE from over 200+ Palms.
Our organic vegetables and legumes include Ful (fava bean), lentils, peanuts, wheat, eggplants, peppers, onion and zucchini, arugula, romaine, green and red leaf varieties. We are always adding and changing through the seasons. We grow what we cook, and the dishes we prepare reflect the seasons and the sunlight of the Oasis.
We have a large natural spring pool to cool off in during those hot desert afternoons, or contemplate life at sunset. Our Bedouin chefs are ready to accommodate any nutritional or dietary needs, and can easily prepare vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free meals and snacks.
