Created from family farm land in 2011, Al Haiz is located in the Baharya Oasis, just 4 hours south of Cairo. It consists of several individual bedrooms with private bathroom & shower, a main house with 2 bedrooms- fully equipped kitchen, bathroom with shower, & large private patio for outdoor dining. We can accommodate groups from 2-25 people.
The property also includes a Bedouin tent for large group gatherings, dining, tea/coffee, or just to keep cool and read a book during a hot desert afternoon. A Bazaar tent offers handmade crafts; pottery, baskets, clothes, handbags, camel blankets and different herbs from the farm.
The farm itself has many animals residing together; camels, sheep, goats, chicken, ducks, pigeon, cows, a dog named Roy and a puppy named Dune.
We also plant many fruits & vegetables including a large date palm & watermelon field.
We have a large natural spring pool to cool off in during those hot desert afternoons, or contemplate life at sunset.
Our in-house chefs are ready to accommodate any nutritional or dietary needs, and can easily prepare vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free meals and snacks.
